HFBK Hamburg, Lerchenfeld 2, room 213
English language offer
A portfolio is like a showcase for artists—it opens doors to jurors, curators, and everyone eager to gain an insight into your artistic vision. Yet many face the challenge: How do I build my portfolio to truly reflect what I want to express?
That’s exactly where this workshop comes in: Joanna Warsza, the City Curator of Hamburg, warmly invites you to have your portfolio professionally reviewed in a twentyfive-minute one-on-one session. Together, you will develop personalized tips and strategies to make your portfolio clearer and more compelling.
Take this opportunity to receive valuable feedback and explore new perspectives. Whether you’re just starting out or looking to refine your portfolio, Joanna is here to help you showcase your artistic work in the best possible light.
Joanna Warsza is a curator, editor, and writer and since October 2024 a city curator of Hamburg. Over the years she has worked more often outside the protection of the white cubes on large scale projects. In the recent years she co-curated the exhibition Radical Playgrounds at Gropius Bau in Berlin (2024), the Polish Pavilion at the 59th Venice Biennale with the work of Roma artist Małgorzata Mirga-Tas, as well as the 3rd and the 4th Autostrada Biennale in Kosovo. She was previously an Associate Curator of the 7th Berlin Biennale and Artistic Director of Public Art Munich 2018. Her interests span the concepts of performativity, the public sphere, feminism, politics and decoloniality in Eastern Europe.
The workshop is already fully booked.
Portfolios must be submitted by November 13, 2025 at the latest to swaantje.benson@hfbk-hamburg.de
