Down by the Rivers! A Poetry Night between Hamburg and London

Poetry Night and Open Mic

Doors 7:30 p.m.

Come join us for a night of poems and stories! We have invited three London poets to the banks of the Elbe to tell us about growing up on a river, leaving your country and making a home in another, falling in love and what to think about death, the universe, and the Big Bang. Sets will be performed by Kofi Achina, National Slam Champion England 2025, Héloïse de Satge, author of Rein It In and Like (Broken Sleep Books) as well as founder of Everything Poetry London, and Roundhouse Resident Artist Thea Lungu.

Open mic slots will be available, 5 minutes each, bring a poem or a story and put your name in the hat on the door.

This event is part of Poetry Now! (Department for English and American Studies IAA / Institute for Liberal Arts & Sciences ILAS, University of Hamburg / HFBK Hamburg).
