Professionalization courses in the summer semester 2024
The HFBK's professionalization programme aims to equip its students and graduates with knowledge and skills that make it easier for them to position themselves confidently in the art world. The programme is aimed in particular at freelance artists and provides them with the professional knowledge they need to meet the complex requirements of independent artistic work.
The aim is to be able to act in an informed and self-confident manner in the art field and thus make the transition from studying to working more smoothly. Professionalization programme is linked to the ICAT, which bundles the HFBK's research activities and contributes artistic issues to current social discourse in a sustainable way.
The free programme, which is aimed at students in their final year and graduates of the HFBK (Master's students, doctoral students and alumni/alumnae) up to five years after graduation, includes information events, lectures and workshops on the topics of artistic positioning, presentation, financing, networking, management, law and contracts, marketing, social security and taxes. We are also happy to advise you on individual questions within these subject areas, review your portfolio together and answer questions about your application documents. In individual cases, experts from art-related fields can be consulted to answer specific questions.
The programme also includes courses in the areas of sustainability, diversity and international affairs. Marked courses from the programme (*Microdredential) can be certified for graduates with microcredentials. The courses are a consistent component of the university's programme in the context of lifelong learning. They enable participants to flexibly and effectively consolidate individually important learning modules.
