2020/01/11: Elena Greta Falcini unter den Preisträger*innen von Rundgang50HERTZ
Rundgang50Hertz is a project to support graduates from selected art academies in Germany. It is based on a cooperation that has been in place since 2017 between the Nationalgalerie im Hamburger Bahnhof – Museum für Gegenwart – Berlin and the transmission system operator 50Hertz. Graduates from art academies that are located in 50hertz’s network area are promoted. This cooperation focuses on artists who have recently finished their studies and are taking initial steps on the art scene. A jury of specialists that varies every year selects up to three final projects that originated at art academies in Berlin, Hamburg and Leipzig. These will receive a prize of an event at the Hamburger Bahnhof – Museum für Gegenwart – Berlin and a catalogue. The funded project was curated by Matilda Felix, freelance curator, Berlin, from 2017 to 2019. Since 2020, curatorial responsibility resides with Melanie Franke, Professor of Art History & Research, Academy of Art and Design, Basel.
