2020/04/27: Lothar-Fischer-Preis 2021 für Verena Issel
HFBK graduate and former guest professor Verena Issel (diploma 2011, visiting professorship 2020) has been awarded the Lothar Fischer Prize of the city of Neumarkt (Oberpfalz) for 2021. The award, which is endowed with 5,000 euros, is presented by the Lothar & Christel Fischer Foundation on a biennial basis. The prize is intended as a promotional award with a focus on sculpture and is intended to honor a work that is related to the concept of art of the sculptor Lothar Fischer (1933-2004) and corresponds to the profile of the Museum Lothar Fischer. The prize is associated with an exhibition in the museum, which will open one year after the award. Previous award winners were: Klaus Hack (2005), Rolf Wicker (2007), Brigitte Schwacke (2009), Martin Wöhrl (2011), Felix Schramm (2013), Stefan Rohrer (2017), Leunora Salihu (2017), Benjamin Houlihan (2019).
