CANCELLED: Wartenau Assembly #8: Andrea De Pascual
Venue:
- Online via Zoom (link below)
Andrea De Pascual from the Invisible Pedagogies Collective will talk about how to connect education with current realities and the demand that art centers participate as a vital part in social educative processes. Showing ways to re-signify educational institutions through art and cultural institutions through education with the scope of favoring the necessary paradigm shift through art + education.
Invisible Pedagogies Collective was founded in 2009 with the intention to explore the interstices of the field of art education. The beginnings were based on theory - since 2011 concepts and issues that have been addressed were put into practice. The field of educational practice in art institutions was an ideal space in which to experiment, investigate, fail and generate new ways of doing and thinking in art and education.
Invisible Pedagogies develop projects in museums, cultural institutions, schools, high schools and implements teacher training. At wartenau assembly Andrea de Pascul presents the latest projects of the collevtive (that are obviously based in practices) and how these have made them understand their work from the intersection between fields, institutions and people.
The public Wartenau Assemblies discourse series brings together positions from art and education, research, activism and school in the guise of talks, discussions and meetings so as to create a new space for participation in art education in Hamburg. Wartenau Assemblies opens up a format for collective speaking with links between theories, practices, shared politics and ways of acting. “Wartenau Assemblies” is an open format. It ranges from lectures, talks and discussions via installations and performances through to workshops and beyond.
Wartenau Assemblies take place in a stream relay collaboration with Station of Commons.
