The Art Prize of the Dr. Marlene Trentwedel Foundation is an art prize announced for the year 2027 in the field of sculpture. It is open to artists from across Germany and is endowed with a prize of 6,000 euros. The aim is the development and realization of a new sculpture that engages with the history of Bremervörde or with the themes water, Oste, harbor, or Vörder See. The awarded sculpture will be presented to the public in September 2027 as part of the 175th anniversary of the city of Bremervörde and will subsequently be installed permanently in a public location in Bremervörde. In addition, a total of 12,000 euros is available for the realization of the sculpture, including material and labor costs.

• Artists from across Germany

• Artists with verifiable artistic practice

How to apply?

• Submission of an application portfolio by post

• The application must include:

  • Five to ten photographs of works from recent years

  • A fully completed and signed application form

  • A sketch and description of the newly designed sculpture
