Call for Papers: Generating Counter-Publics? – Art, AI, and Right-Wing Dynamics | Deadline: April 17, 2026
Generating Counter-Publics? – Art, AI and Right-Wing Dynamics is an interdisciplinary workshop call aimed at researchers and artists engaging with the political, aesthetic, and technical conditions of counter-publics in the context of AI and digital capitalism. The workshop will take place on July 20 and 21, 2026, in Frankfurt am Main and offers the opportunity to present research projects, artistic works, or theoretical approaches within an interdisciplinary setting. In addition to traditional presentations, artistic contributions such as performances or screenings are welcome, fostering visibility, exchange, and networking.
Who can apply?
– Researchers from all disciplines
– Artists from all fields
– Especially early-career researchers and emerging artists
– Individuals as well as groups (including panel proposals)
How can you apply?
– Submit an abstract (max. 2,000 characters including spaces)
– Include a short biography
– Contributions may be lectures, panels, or artistic formats
– Presentations should be 20–30 minutes long
