MAK Schindler Scholarship Program | Deadline: August 12, 2026
The MAK Schindler Scholarship Program is an international residency program organized by the MAK – Austrian Museum of Applied Arts in Vienna. For the 2027/2028 period, a total of six scholarships are awarded: four for independent artists and two for architecture students or recent graduates. The residency takes place in the Mackey Apartments in Los Angeles and includes a six-month stay with a monthly stipend, accommodation, travel cost support, and integration into the MAK Center for Art and Architecture program. The program focuses on experimental and interdisciplinary approaches at the intersection of art and architecture, fostering international exchange and visibility.
Who can apply?
Independent artists
Students of fine arts or architecture (after completing the second stage of studies)
Graduates of architecture or art programs immediately after graduation
Teams of up to three people
Requirement: no other scholarship in the USA directly before or after this residency
