Sustainability
Sustainable development is crucial for a responsible shaping of society in the present and the future. The HFBK Hamburg is a facilitator between society, art and science and offers students, artists and the general public spaces for critical discourse and artistic research related to sustainability.
In the field of tension between economy, ecology and social issues, artists and scientists negotiate sustainability and in the process design, discuss and sharpen ideas, concepts and images of climate justice, solidarity or resource awareness in artistic confrontations.
Sustainable Development works towards achieving the Sustainable Development Goals (SDG) adopted by the UN in 2015. To this end, the HFBK Hamburg is guided by the Hamburg ESD Master Plan.
Insights into the implementation of the diverse structural and concrete measures, projects and experiments for sustainable development at the HFBK Hamburg can be found via the five fields of action: research, teaching, transfer, governance and service.
