IT Department
The IT department is the central point of contact for all information technology and IT services at the university. It provides the technical infrastructure, digital services, and support for students, teaching staff, employees, and guests, ensuring that teaching, administration, and artistic work function digitally.
HFBK Account
To use the IT services of HFBK Hamburg, all members of the university (students, faculty, administrative staff) as well as external guests need a personal HFBK account. It always begins with “hk…” and replaces the need to set up multiple separate accounts or passwords. The account is personal and non-transferable.
Upon enrollment or hiring, an account in the university’s self-service portal is automatically created for you. The login details are sent by email. You then set your personal password in the HFBK self-service portal.

External guests at HFBK Hamburg can generate a guest account at a terminal located at the university entrance/reception.
