The Scholarships for Performing Arts 2026 by ZEIT STIFTUNG BUCERIUS is a funding program for artists and collectives in the independent performing arts addressing the theme “Future: Performing Futures in Uncertain Times.” The program supports artistic research, concept development, and project-based work. A total of seven scholarships of 10,000 euros each are awarded, complemented by networking opportunities and professional exchange.
Who can apply?
Professional artists and collectives in the independent performing arts
Based in Hamburg or Northern Germany (Bremen, Lower Saxony, Schleswig-Holstein, Mecklenburg-Vorpommern)
Proven track record of high-quality artistic work
Completed artistic training and/or professional artistic practice
For collectives: majority of members must live and work in Northern Germany
All disciplines within the performing arts, excluding purely film or dance projects (interdisciplinary approaches possible)

Submit artist biographies of all participants
Applications can be submitted in German or English
