Open Call M.1 kuratieren 2027/28 Artistic Director at M.1 of the Arthur Boskamp-Stiftung in Hohenlockstedt, Schleswig-Holstein

The Arthur Boskamp-Stiftung is inviting applications for the position of Artistic Director of M.1 in Hohenlockstedt, to run from 1 January 2027 to 30 June 2028.⁠ ⁠The non-profit Arthur Boskamp-Stiftung supports the visual arts and culture, with a focus on contemporary art (M.1 kuratieren) and community-based cultural work at a local level (M.1 Lokal). Every two years, the Arthur Boskamp-Stiftung grants its two Advancement Awards to artists with links to northern Germany. The foundation thus positions itself at the intersection of regional context and international contemporary art. The spacious former military building M.1 in Hohenlockstedt provides space for exhibitions, events and residencies, and can be used as a venue for community activities and creative production.

1. Proposal (max. 2 A4 pages) for the first year, clearly setting out your own interests and research questions and including a detailed plan.

2. Examples of work (max. 5): curatorial projects, exhibitions, etc.
