PACT Zollverein’s residency programme, January and July 2027 | Deadline: September 28, 2026
Who can apply?
Applications for a residency are open to international artists and cultural professionals who work alone or preferably in collaborative practice (max. 4 people) in the following fields:
Performing arts
Inter- & transdisciplinary artistic practices
Film & Moving Image
Artistic practice engaging with digital technologies
Socially engaged arts
Our residencies and spaces are less suitable for artistic practices such as painting, sculpture, classical concert practice or purely writing activities.
Only one application can be submitted under the same name.
What formal requirements must be observed when applying?
Unfortunately, student projects are excluded. Incomplete applications, such as those without a sufficient description of the project, cannot be considered. Unfortunately, information cannot be submitted at a later date, either in the form or by email.
Which projects are eligible to apply for a residency?
Projects in all development phases are welcome—from conception and initial research to more technical or production-related work phases. We particularly welcome projects that deal with specific contexts (e.g. urban space, socially related issues) but also those that develop independently in the studio.
What financial support is offered?
Besides a studio space, local accommodation and reimbursement of travel expenses for all artists involved in the project (max. 4 people), a weekly grant allowance of €400 per person will be paid. Costs for barrier-free participation in the residency can be covered by arrangement.
