Residency Stipend Junge Kunst Lemgo | Deadline: 15.11.2026
The “Junge Kunst Lemgo” grant is a one-year arts grant awarded by the Old Hanseatic City of Lemgo and funded by the Staff Stiftung Lemgo. Artists receive a monthly stipend of €1,000, rent-free access to a two-story 90 sq m studio apartment in downtown Lemgo, and a four-week solo exhibition at the Städtische Galerie Eichenmüllerhaus. Funding for a catalogue publication is also available.
Who can apply?
Artists from all disciplines
Residents of Germany
Under 36 years old (no older than 35) at the start of the grant
Completed degree from an art academy
Willingness to live and work in Lemgo for one year (May 1 to April 30)
Participation in the two-week competition exhibition in January
Willingness to organize a solo exhibition at the Städtische Galerie Eichenmüllerhaus at the end of the residency
Willingness to donate one work created in Lemgo to the organizers upon completion

A jury first selects three candidates who present their original works in a two-week competition exhibition in January. The winner is then selected; the two remaining artists each receive a recognition fee.
