Schaufler Residency @ TU Dresden 2027
The Schaufler Residency@TU Dresden is a six-month artist residency at the intersection of art and science, a joint project of Technische Universität Dresden and THE SCHAUFLER FOUNDATION. The central theme, “Energy Cultures in Transition,” explores how forms of energy and energy transitions influence culture, society, the environment, and visions of the future. The residency is aimed at internationally active artists and artist collectives interested in developing an artistic research project around this theme. Benefits include a monthly stipend of €3,000 net for six months, a studio at TU Dresden, assistance with finding accommodation, access to scientific research fields, and opportunities to collaborate with researchers. In addition, a production grant of €10,000 is available for the final exhibition, along with a solo exhibition at the Kustodie Gallery in autumn 2027. The residency begins in April 2027.
